Preserving The Legacy Of Half-Life

Almost 18 years of memories, friendships, and old-school gaming.

We are approaching almost 18 years of gaming with Half-Life, and during that time I have witnessed countless clans and players become part of this incredible community.

Over the years, many players have moved on to other games, while others have unfortunately moved on to the next map. Each person, however, has played a part in shaping the history and memories that surround Half-Life.

Here at -|[KCD]|- Kill Conquer Defeat, our goal has always been to preserve the old-school spirit and charm that made Half-Life communities so special.

We are not here to claim that we have the biggest or best Half-Life server. That has never been what this community is about. Our focus has always been about enjoying the game, bringing people together, and keeping those memories alive.

The reality is that the Half-Life community has become increasingly fragmented over the years. Many classic mods, maps, plugins, and server files have disappeared, becoming increasingly difficult to find or have been completely lost.

This is something we want to help prevent.

Over the past decade, I have collected and preserved many pieces of Half-Life history — files, content, and memories from a time when the community was thriving.

These are things that may one day become valuable to someone searching for a piece of the past.

Because you never know... one day, even you might be looking for something that has long since disappeared.

As we continue moving forward into the future, I would like to take this opportunity to thank every player who has contributed to this journey.

Whether you played alongside us for many years or only joined us for a few games, your contribution helped create the community we have today.

Wherever life has taken you, I hope you are doing well.

Thank you for the memories, and thank you for being part of the Half-Life community.
