⚠️We are investigating recent issues with player timeouts and server crashes. We have temporarily removed Severian's Mod for testing and will be compiling a new version over the next few days. If you notice the server feels different, this is why. Please bear with us while we work on fixing the issues with Severian's Mod. Thanks for your understanding! ✌️

# About Us - One Game, Two Communities, One Legacy

## The Story Behind Kill Conquer Defeat

Some gaming communities are created to become the biggest. Others are created because a group of people simply found somewhere that felt like home.

Kill Conquer Defeat (KCD) was born from that same spirit.

Before KCD, there was ACR - **Allie Cat's Revenge**.

For many players, ACR was not just another Half-Life server. It was a place with its own identity, its own style, and its own way of playing. It was fast, chaotic, unpredictable and completely different from normal Half-Life.

This was Half-Life pushed beyond its limits.

Rapid-fire weapons. Super-fast movement. Grapple hook battles. Custom maps. Runes. Insane fights. Endless laughs.

To someone joining for the first time, it looked like madness.

To those who understood it, it had a rhythm.

---

## Discovering ACR

The journey started with curiosity.

Like many old-school Half-Life players, the goal was simple: create a server where people could jump in, have fun, and experience something different.

That search led to Oz Deathmatch.

At first, it was about learning. Understanding the configs. Changing values. Experimenting.

But then came the discovery of something much bigger.

A server called:

** Allie's Urban Assault**

ACR showed what Half-Life could become when someone truly understood the game.

The gameplay was not random chaos. Behind the madness was careful tuning:

* weapon speeds, * movement settings, * grapple mechanics, * custom rules, * player balance, * and years of experience.

It was a completely different version of Half-Life.

---

## The Influence of Allie Cat's Revenge

ACR became the inspiration and foundation for everything that followed.

After joining ACR, Kizzy became part of that community and spent years playing alongside the people who made it special.

Six years were spent as part of ACR.

The friendships, the servers, the jokes, the battles, and the memories became something much bigger than just a game.

ACR represented a place where people belonged.

A place where players knew each other.

A place where someone could join a server and instantly feel part of something.

---

## The Birth of KCD

Kill Conquer Defeat was not created to replace ACR.

It was created because ACR mattered.

KCD carries that same philosophy:

A server is not just an IP address.

A server is the people who fill it.

The conversations. The rivalries. The funny moments. The unexpected victories. The stories that players remember years later.

Without ACR, KCD would not exist.

The knowledge, the inspiration, the gameplay style and the passion all came from those early days.

ACR built the foundation.

KCD continues the legacy.

---

## Preserving The Old-School Experience

Modern gaming has changed.

Many communities that once filled the internet have disappeared.

Forums closed. Servers went offline. Players moved on.

But memories remain.

KCD exists to preserve that feeling:

The feeling of opening a server browser and finding somewhere special.

The feeling of recognising familiar names.

The feeling of joining a game not because it is the newest, but because it means something.

---

## More Than Just Half-Life

Half-Life was the beginning of the journey.

Running servers led to learning:

* server administration, * networking, * hosting, * hardware, * databases, * websites, * and IT.

What started as wanting to create a fun place for players became a lifelong passion for technology.

A game became a community.

A community became a skill.

A skill became a future.

---

## Still Here

From the discovery of ACR to the creation of KCD, the goal has always remained the same:

Create somewhere people can enjoy themselves.

No pressure. No chasing numbers. No pretending to be the biggest.

Just old-school gaming.

Good games. Good laughs. Good memories.

The golden days may have changed.

The players may have moved on.

But the spirit remains.

**One Game. Two Communities. One Legacy.**

Below is a screenshot of the last scores on GameTracker before they were lost forever... Unfortunately I was around 12 place with about 10,000 score over the span of 6 years. Wayback machine has not indexed page 2 or any others for that matter inclucing items per page... Sad times... ACR History
